About the Workshop:
Being a parent to toddlers and preschool aged children requires a restructuring, even a reparenting, of ourselves. As we learn to attune to our children’s needs, we may discover we need to learn to (re)attune to ourselves and our values.
In Reflective Parenting for Intentional Parents you will have the space to learn, reflect, and integrate your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences about parenting. You will become more familiar with children’s development stages and temperaments, positive discipline parenting methods and tools, and what communication and boundaries look like for preschool-aged children. You will have the support of a trained specialist, as well as peers from your parenting community, while you explore the unique influences that inform (and sometimes hinder) your values.
We are bombarded by so many messages from media, society at large, role models, and our own perceptions and visions about how to be as parents. Information is abundant and easy to access, but we have little time to investigate what we feel and think. This workshop is a perfect opportunity to take a “time out” and pause parenting in your busy life, giving you space to find clarity in your parenting.
What You'll Learn:
Weekly sessions are 1.5hrs each.
The sessions are created to build on themselves over 8 weeks.

Week 1
What do we, as parents, do well? What are our personal values and priorities as parents?

Weeks 2 + 3
How is our parenting informed by our upbringing? What do we wish to repeat and what do we want to do differently? What triggers, fears, hopes, worries, and dreams do we bring to our parenting experience and our relationship with our children?

Week 4
How does society / culture / social media affect and influence our parenting? What resources and support systems are available to us?

Week 5
What are the unique characteristics and dispositions of our children? What can we learn from children’s developmental milestones?

Week 6
With positive parenting as a framework, which parenting tools and strategies best serve our children's unique personalities? Guidance and troubleshooting of specific parenting uncertainties.

Week 7
Where do we parents exist in all of this? How do we adapt to our children’s needs while still taking care of ourselves? Create space for YOU in your relationship with your child through communication, boundaries, and leadership.

Week 8
What new awareness, tools, and support have we gained?
Plus, concrete steps for the future.
Gain Clarity. Find More Ease.
You will be parenting for the rest of your life.
Invest in yourself as a parent now.
Parents who have participated in the past have overwhelmingly reported feeling more grounded, more confident, and more supported in their parenting.
