About Marta D. Weiss
I am passionate about providing opportunities for meaningful discourse, guiding others on reflective journeys to their own peace and discoveries, and offering tools and child development knowledge along the way. I am an innately deep thinker and meaning-maker who has always been thirsty for more knowledge and development of my personal skills and relationships. While my education was impactful, my life journey through the early loss of my mother and the birth of my very spirited and sensitive first child taught me lessons and prompted awakenings that could never be learned at school. I am dedicated to a life that brings me meaning and connection, and thus I want to learn and try to understand others, including my bright and spirited children, as well as I can.
My formal education includes a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and the completion of the 8-month Martha Beck, Inc. Life Coaching Training.
I'm a wife and mom to two amazing girls, now 15 and 12 years old. Though I've called Encinitas, CA home for many years, I am originally from Bulgaria. I've had the adventure (and challenges) of living in four different countries, which has made me comfortable navigating a variety of cultures and contributed to my open-minded and curious approach to life.
